Invalid Configuration for Device 0

Q:
I got error “Invalid Configuration for Device 0″ when creating new Virtual Machine on ESX host. Here is my configuration:
EXS 3i, 3.5.0 Build 199239 and VirtualCenter 2.5 Update 5 Build 174768.

A:
Mostly, kind of this error message generated when you try to create a new virtual machine where CD-ROM mount to an .iso file. Or, your floppy mount to an image. To avoid this error when you create a new virtual machine, leave CD-ROM mount to “client device” option at the first time. Once the virtual machine created, you may edit CD-ROM to mount an .iso file easily without prompted for any error.
